I have devised a temporary extension table for my Singer. Found a cardboard box, taped all around the sides with masking tape for stability, covered with heavy sticky shelf liner, placed it next to the left side of machine, placed a piece of waffled liner under the box to keep it from sliding as I sewed. The box I used measures 14x19x3 1/2" Works great for now. Extension tables are so pricey.

I bought a piece of plexiglass at home depot for 14.50. Bought a. Dowel 1" diam and cut 6 legs used my little electric drill and made holes, screwed it all together. Voila, a beautiful extension table for around $20.00.
