I have a mega quilter, and just finished quilting my lone star. do you have the feed dogs covers when using the walking foot. the feed dogs need to be covered for free motion but you need to uncover them when using the walking foot. i am still learning on mine. it might take a while to figure it out but i made sample squares to practice on and i'm learning as go along. but practice on sample squares first. it will help.

I don't have a walking foot for my mega quilter; just my Kenmore. I was going to get one buy the viking store said they were over 150; yikes!! to rich for my blood. I have really good luck w/Aurofil thread and it is recommended for the mega quilter. I used it to quilt (cross-hatch) fabric for a jacket and the thread didn't break once.
