Something I just thought of, is to try one of the other Schmetz needles to see if I have the same problem. It may have been that particular needle that I had a problem with. Thanks, everyone for reassuring me that it wasn't the machine. Chris

Have used Schmetz in the emb. machine with the same success as the Organ, have stuck with the Organ needles because I can order them in bulk and get them at a good price. Chris
I too use Organ for the same reasons you stated!

I went back and tried several jeans needles and none would slide into the needle shaft. Wish I had a way of measuring the head of the needles to see if there is a difference in the two needles. Chris
