I'm trying to finish up these two memory quilts and intended to finish them on my treadle since I pieced them on it. I got started yesterday morning and all was well till I broke the tension spring. Old machine, old spring I guess but it just snapped off when I moved the top around and somehow it accidentally caught. So that leaves my emachine....the difference is amazing. I MUCH prefer the treadle! So much more throat space and just easier to manuver the quilt. I have a new spring ordered but I'm afraid it won't be here in time to help me with these two quilts. Oh if I had the $ for an emachine with more throat space I would surely jump on it. But for now I'll get my treadle back up and go that way.
