    Default Machine stitched?

I hope you can see the detail in this photo
It is from a quilting expo 2017 but I can't find out where the expos was or any details.
I was hoping someone could tell me if it is machine stitched or hand stitch?
I am trying to get an idea of the size. The rick rack could be 6mm. Although it comes in different sizes too.

It's one block of a quilt. Google Lens found this

"R.E.M. - Rapid Eye Movement - by Sonia Grasvik

"Materials & Techniques: Assorted commercial and hand dyed fabrics. Assorted threads. Machine appliqué and piecing. Machine embroidery and free motion quilting.

Dimensions: 53"W x 53"H" It's 9 blocks plus a border. Guessing 16" blocks and 2 1/2" border from looking at the photo of the whole quilt

It is a very interesting block. I always figure that someone on this board will be able to answer any question! Isn't it terrific?!
