I would look at the brother PQ1500S it runs about 600 is straight stitch only and has a 9 inch harp which is decent for quilting. There are similar jukis but they run about 8-900, I think they might have speed control so might be worth is just for that but many use the brother for quilting

I have that machine too. I bought it from Amazon a little over a year ago for $599. It only has straight stitches, but that is fine with me, as I have 2 other machines that do multiple stitches. I really like this machine.

I would recommend the Brother PQ1500. I have that machine and it is great for piecing and quilting. It has a wide harp space, sews fast, has built in scissors, and makes a beautiful stitch. I have had mine since 2002 and it is a workhorse. It does only do straight stitch though, but that's all you need for quilting. I have 2 other more expensive machines, but the Brother is my go to machine.

I'm thinking Brother PQ 1500 is the way to go. Thanks for the suggestions!
