    I just saw the movie How To Make An American Quilt, and lord it made me cry!! The quilt and the story it told was beautiful and sad....

    I saw it when I was surfing through the channels but I never watched it. Next time I see it on I'll either watch it or record it. Thank you!

    Yes, it's an excellent movie! Saw it in the theater when it came out sometime in the 90's. Then my girlfriend and I saw the wedding quilt (all the quilters were working on in the movie) at a quilt shop in Temecula, CA. It was absolutely stunning in person!!! Also met a couple of the main quilters of the piece...it was a fun afternoon!

    The movie was based on a book of the same name by Whitney Otto...it's a good read, too!
