    Viking is designed in Swen and many parts made in Sweden but assembled in Asia. All newer machines are made where there is cheaper labor. However, try and buy a TV or Smart Phone or even a coffee pot that isn't made there also. These products work fine so I don't really feel it is a problem. I would like to have things made here but as consumers we insist on lower prices. The most important is to get a dealer you like and trust and a machine that works for you.

    I have a 1975 kenmore...made in Taiwan. I love it! Its my favorite machine.
