Easy Quilts is another good magazine for beginners.

Could you tell me a little bit about the QNNtv that is offered? Something about programs on demand? Just didn't quite understand what the QCA explained about it. Thanks!

Your suggestions for those subscriptions that would be suitable for beginning machine piecing would be very much appreciated.
Search the internet. There are thousands of free patterns out there. If you're not buying books you have more money for fabric.
Moda Bake Shop is a good place to start. Quilters Cache is another. Or you can just google Free quilt patterns. Save what you like to a folder on your computer and they are there when you need them. Take it from one who knows, put them in catorgories each with its own folder. You may like to take note of the designer.
