    thank you for the site, I did not realize it is paper pieced, maybe now is the time for me to learn, very nice pattern...

    Yes, it is paper pieced. It was my first real project, after just one "test" block. I enjoyed doing it, but probably won't do it too often. I found it hard on my hands when working with the smallest pieces. I would think you could do something very similar with applique. It would be much quicker too! I've been working on this for a couple of months.

    Ingenious! Plus, I think just plain waves would have been boring. Your fish and dolphins really make it more interesting.
