I had an extra long handled "blush" brush in my cosmetic supplies and decided to repurpose it in my sewing room. Cleaning the lint and lint and dust in and near my machine goes much faster now. I still use my tiny machine brush to get in the small areas of my machine though. The bristles on the make up brush are very soft and very secure, so it's working great.

Years ago, as a promotional gimic, I think, a cosmetic dealer (Clinique?) offerred a blush brush in a metal tube that, when you turned it, the brush rotated up like lipstick. I keep one in my machine's accessory tray to clean the lint buildup. Works great; good size.

They still make those and you can get one at Walmart (not name brand) for about $5. I learned a lot about makup brushes when buying new cheer makeup recently.
