$10.00/per hour would be a good starting point. I would make a very basic one, start to finish, and time myself to estimate how long it would take. But if you do a lot of extra quilting and embellishment, that's going to add more time, and money, to the finished product. Just a suggestion.

I think you should set the price before you make the bags. One thing I have found (many years at craft sales) is you rarely get adequately paid for your labor. I always figured that the enjoyment from the projest counted for some of the pay. Probably foolish I know.

I agree with Susie. However, that said, she bought the supplies so make sure they are are adequate for the project and then tell her $25 - 35 per bag before you make the bags, then put it in writing and have her sign a contract. CYA
