ITA with you, Tartan ... the finish on Fairy Frost is like plastic, and IMHO just not a nice fabric as a result. I bought a couple of pieces and until I started to work with it, didn't realize what it was like. As a result, the pieces are stashed in my stash!

Good thought, Applique ... with that plastic-y finish, I found the fabric just didn't press out very well .... or then you end up with it melting as Tartan mentioned!

For an OMG quilt, pressing at every step would be important to get the best results ... and I think Fairy Frost would just be a nightmare! All IMHO and based on my own experiences with it.

I purchased the pattern from Quakertown Quilts. It hasn't arrived yet but I am excited to get it and hope it has helpful tips on pressing and dealing with small pieces.

I have been thinking about the possible issues with the Fairy Frost and think it could be a tough issue. Now I 'm not sure if I should pick different fabric or at least try it and either have good results or just ok results. I think I'll post a new thread asking specifically about Fairy Frost.
