    Thanks!!
I've seen D9P ... and guess just got blinded with the N

DNP would make a perfect filler around the blocks ... use scraps? or find a small print fabric that relates to the book, to work like an "I Spy"? or an assortment of fabrics that would be "I Spy-able"

<------ Now stashing DNP acronym in the bran! :)

    ok...googled it.

BOB - depending upon previous discussions, could be black on black, blue on blue or beige on beige

BOM - Block of the Month, something offered by quilt shops, both local ones and online. When you done making twelve of them you add some borders and you have a quilt.

    BRB - be right back

    BTW - By the way

    CW - civil war

D9P or DNP - disappearing nine patch - a specific method of taking a basic nine patch block, cutting it in half each way to end up with four pieces, rotating two diagonally opposite corners 180 degrees then sewing together as a four patch.

Oh Dreamer, I wasn't challenging you, just admitting my own stupidity in not thinking about it!! I'll call it lack of caffeine this morning!! :)

Be careful on the BOB ... when I saw it (before I read your description) ... there's another meaning, totally unrelated to quilting!!!! *gasp*
