    Think of something that you would throw over the couch to add seasonal color and/or cover up with to watch TV or read. One of the nice features of a throw is that it's any size you want it to be. Many people use the term lap quilt and throw interchangeably, although throws are normally the larger of the two. I usually make mine around 60X60.
