I thought it might be a way to use up all the orphan blocks I have laying around and since my sister organizes a community craft sale every year maybe I could sell some next year.
Go for it! My first "real" quilt project -other than squares- was a runner made of 3 different 12" blocks, a basket, some kind of a star and a churn dash.. I sent it to my sister, a friend of hers saw it and wanted it. She sent me 50 euros and asked me to make another in blues. She keeps ordering runners etc. constantly and her friends do, too.Right now their order is two dozen quilted potholders for Christmas! I' m using plenty of orphan blocks for these, too.

I was thinking of doing the same (table toppers) as Christmas presents for my cousins. I also thought maybe little purses with the orphan blocks would be nice. We should have a show of what we end up making with them. I'd love to see everyone's pictures.
