I used this method on my last quilt and I really like it.
1. You don't waste any fabric

why not try to order it online from them; you can use coupons to cut cost and sometimes they have free shipping.

30 yards for the back ground fabric....seems a big high, even for a king size.

I have done the math about 3 times and it still comes out to about 26 or 27 and I added some for shrinkage and finishing the edges.

Thanks, I just ordered 10 from Jo Anns on line and will keep checking and ordering until I get enough. Ten will keep me busy for a while shrinking, pressing and cutting.

I like Eleanor Burns method and rulers. Four at a time and super easy.

I just checked it out and was amazed! I have so many flying geese rulers that just sit there. This is great. No marking, the sky squares can be different colors to give you a great scrappy look it you want. You chain the base as you go to the one before. When you are done, no marks to remove, no paper to take out, no triming needed...you done. THANKS! I keep learning new things here.
