I think your method is great. And I was wrong on the numbers--only 700+ flying geese to make. lol. I always assembly line sew, too, or else use a leader or ender like Bonnie Hunter

Eleanor Burns makes four at a time with good accuracy, I've used her method for years (but without her ruler, which is a needless expense if you have quilter's "standard rulers"

I don't know what happened to the first one. Here's another try at it.

Paper pieced, easy and accurate. When you are making that many, this is the best way to go. To avoid burn-out,set a limit as to how many you will make in a day. You can start out small and increase as you go. Pleas post your progress.

Thank you Julie for this info! I have been trying to figure out how to make different sized geese w/o having to use a special ruler and you have done it for me with this.

Thank you for responding and posting that quilt. It is possibly now my favorite quilt and will be on my must do list. Good luck and can't wait to see your pictures when it's complete. What a lucky brother you have.

It will be a while, for sure. But the bro is a good guy, it will be worth it.

I have the Triangulations CD and it includes "chained" flying geese for paper piecing...multiples on a page.

Julie is right about this method. I used it for a quilt that had flying geese all around the edge. I love it because there is no waste.
