    Default "March Madness" and quilting

This may be hersey coming from someone living in Indiana, but I'm not interested in basketball. So, between all the games on TV and my local PBS station running ANOTHER (yes I do support them), pledge drive, I'm getting a whole lot more quilting done

Your comment made me smile, I know exactly what you mean. We live right in the thick of it don't we. Happy Quilting!

Me, too. DH was a bb coach for over 30 years. Burnout is an understatement. He LOVES watching the games. Me, not so much. Quilting here I come.

I, too, am a totally uninterested Hoosier. Any kind of sport at all is a complete waste of time, as far as I am concerned. I think it is a shame that people get so excited over a game and ignore the importance of a relationship with God.

I also am from IN but do love sports, I just have the TV going next to my machine and sew away. I get to enjoy 2 of my favorites at once. Like seeing IU and PU in the games but am yelling for Michigan State my school. Go Big 10!

No BB fans in my house but we are NACAR fans and the race is on today. Im a good multi-tasker so I can watch the race and quilt at the same time.

I am a transplanted Buckeye, living in Indiana, in the same household as a die-hard Bobby Knight fan! And yes, we do watch as many games as possible! It can get rather loud at times, am sure the neighbors think we are having a knock-down drag out fight! I do get some quilting done during the "boring games". Actually I finished 3 quilts in the past 3 days! Gonna work on #4 today - top all done, ready to sandwich and quilt.

Geesh...the sound of squeaky shoes in HD makes my skin crawl.
Can't wait for the tournament to be over, and I can't say that out loud around these parts. KY has/had 3 teams in the tournament, and DH's alma mater is SLU.
Definitely getting more sewing done while the boys watch ball.

Sports, from basketball to gymnastics, are a great form of exercise, which help to keep us healthy. And while I love to watch the sports on tv, it has no bearing on my beliefs in God, which are personal to me.

Envious of you folks able to quilt during the games. My brother and sister are visiting us in FL, and my brother is staying in my quilting cave. His "stuff" is all over the place and I can hardly get to my machine. The only games I'm interested in are MI state and FL Gators, so I am crocheting during the others.
