Do you have them? I'm curious to find out more about them too.

I'm about to do a BOM thru my LQS and it requires buying some of her templates. I was wondering if they are unique and unlike any other templates that I may already have or if one of the many templates that I already have would do the trick.

Marti Mitchell has several sets of templates. I have two sets that were required for a 'PatchWork Party' that I did. The thing that I remember about her templates is that you don't have any dog ears on your pieces and they match up very well.
One thing I don't like about them - and it's probably just the sets that I have - most make small pieces. I hate to work with small pieces.
I guess that other than the blunt corners, I don't see much difference. Okay, if have a set, you don't have to measure anything. The template is exactly the size you need. The one set I have, there are seven pieces to it.
    Not much help, am I?

Well, I have some of them and her book. I was excited to get them and get started. I expected something really different and wonderful but I really can't see any difference between them and what I already had. You can find others with the end cut off which is nice.

I bought acrylic templates ( an entire package of multiple sizes) for the flying geese pattern from Hariet Hargrave ($36), the master heirloom quilter teacher and author who lives in Colorado -- and I found that working with them gives me precision. I made the smaller, very tiny size of flying geese, and it was so enjoyable to square up my rectangles with the templates. I would like to work with Marti's templates, so I am reading responses from other quilters to see if they like Marti's templates. Thanks for starting this thread.
