    If you are cross hatching, find a painters tape the size you need for spacing and use it by laying it across the area to be quilted. Blue tape leaves no residue and will save time marking. I have done this several on several quilts. (Stitch along the edge of the tape, then pull it off and lay it next to your stitching for the next line). Hope this makes sense.
