    I learned it from one of her books, "Scrappy Fireworks Quilts" but I believe there is also a youtube video out there. Not sure if she details how to do it in any of her other books.

    I use a ruler to measure the 1/4" start/stop intersection so if you find a tool you like you don't need to worry if it fits in the hole or not.
