I just clicked on this to see what it was. NOT what I expected. So funny.

Make the quilt in the usual way!! Deal with the warmth problem UNDER the quilt. I just made a "blanket" for our bed that has a sheet on my side sewn to two layers of fleese on his side. This way we can make the bed normally and not ruin a good blanket. The difference in thickness barely shows.

Interesting reading!
Maybe this should be done for all wedding quilts!
If you made the quilt square, with warmer batting etc, on just half, then if they want one half warm, it goes side to side, but if they both want warm feet and cool torso - it goes top to bottom!

I always have the left side of the bed and he always has the right side for almost 50 years now!

Oh my goodness, a blanket that traps orders (foot, body, and gas orders). I visited the site but couldn't tell what was in the blanket that prevented these orders. Where do the orders go and how could this be worked into a quilt.
Whole thing makes no sense to me.
Living alone does have its perks, I guess LOL
Edited: Apparently there are two different marriage coverings, the one I referenced that somehow traps orders - and another one that uses different battings (I didn't see anything about this one);
