Marshall's Dry Goods backing
#1
HI all, I was wondering what you all thought of the 108" blender backings from Marshall's Dry Goods (made by Santee)? I have some (the dark royal blue) and I find the finish sort of waxy and stiff, even after I washed it. Its kind of hard to explain. If you have this backing, do you still think it's going to be durable enough for a 5 year olds quilt? It doesn't really feel soft either, not like the fabrics I used for the front, but maybe that will change with washing it again, and use?
Thanks,
Evelyn

I used some of this on one special quilt for my DDIL. I haven't heard from her about how the back is, I don't think she has washed it yet. With three small children she said she was going to only use it on her bed and only when they have company as she wants to keep it nice. I hope it washes up ok.
