Default Marti Michell, came to our guild

Marti Michell, spoke at our guild today, at both meetings. She had a trunk show as well. Oh it was a delight and just added more to my list of quilts to do. She had her tools, rulers, patterns, and tons of stuff. My pockets got emptied. Great time. She gave lessons from Saturday through today and everyone learned a lot. If your guild gets a chance to have her, take it.

Oh, by the way. She said to cut your fabric on the length wise side. Remember when you made clothes you always placed the pieces that way. She says it eliminates stretching. I'm going to try it.

I have heard her speak. Her ideas for quilting a large quilt in sections are great! I have used her methods on several quilts. Her templates make for very precise piecing as well.

Saw her at the Paducah quilt show. She was demo-ing some of her rulers and templates. I, like you, could not restrain and made a few purchases. It was a joy to meet her and learn something new.

Those are also the instructions that come with the Accuquilt Go. Makes sense.

I would love to go to one of her workshops. My guild has a lot of older members who will not vote to spend money on speakers or workshops. To them anything over $50 is cause to faint. We are always fundraising but never spend the money. A few more new eager to learn members and we can out vote them.
