Mary Ellen's Best Press. What do you Think?

I am with many other that have said it didn't live up to the expectaions that I had!
It did not leave my fabirc as stiff as I like, and it is way more costlier than 97 cents for a can of Faultless Lavender Scent Heavy Starch that I am so addicted to. Oh and for flakes...I have NEVER EVER had flakes when using heavy starch from the aerosol spray can don't know why or how just don't!

I love Best Press but I hate the price.
I make my own spray stach with Linit liquid starch and water. I have heard that some people say starch draws silverfish, but in 41 years I have never seen a silverfish or any silverfish holes in my stash.
I can make the spray starch as starchy or as watery as I choose. Usually I like 3 parts water to 1 part liquid starch. I add 10-20 drops of essential oil of lavender to scent it nicely. And I store it in the refrigerator.
And if you spray on the wrong side of the fabric, any little flakes don't show.

I love it. I don't care about the smell, but love the results when pressing fabric, blocks or clothing. Luckily, I don't have to press alot of my clothing. It is pricey but I try to find sales when possible. I've tried some of the supermarket products and found some had an offensive smell and also prefer not to use aerosoles when possible. Had to through away some I tried so was a waste of money.

I use it and really like it a lot although it is pricey. I wait till it goes on sale and then stock up. I also use the several of the starches listed by other members. I'm not one to drown my fabric in starch but it works well for many people.
