Default Mary J's 1/4" Quilting Scissors. Anyone use them?

I received a pair of these today in the mail from my secret pal. I'm intrigued. I've never seen scissors like this before or knew I needed them. LOL. I can tell they are quality, very heavy for their size and extremely sharp. They feel comfortable in my hand. I may not use them much but they will be great when I do need them.

I got the name wrong, it's Marry J's engraved on the scissors. They cut perfect 1/4" clips. Taking pictures of shinny scissors is hard. LOL

I ordered these too but have not used them yet. Supposedly they are to be used for
Clipping the edges of say, appliance pieces, then turn under the edges, where you
    Clipped. Anxious to try it.

I used them on raw edge applique blocks I had ready to clip. The scissors are excellent, every clip is exactly 1/4" deep.

My original post was incorrect. What I meant to say was "applique", not appliance.
Was trying to talk to GS at the same time. I should know I can't do two things at once. LOL

I saw them at my local Joann store. They also come in 1/8" size. Always wondered about how much they would help.
