May I have your opinions please?

Interesting idea! I've also seen ones that use elastic at the top and bottom to hold the fabric in place.
And just as an aside, those of you who burn easily may want to look into the supplement astaxanthin (I take 10mg twice a day). For me it has eliminated the itching and tightness I get with incidental sun exposure. Great stuff!

It looks hot to me but would certainly protect the arm from the sun. I do like the idea of a light-weight long sleeved man's shirt though. That's what I do when mowing my yard. It's extra big and the breeze--if there is one--can circulate under it. A more permanent solution is to have the windows of your vehicle tinted. It will also keep your car cooler as it reflects the sun's heat. Of course, only if you leave the windows rolled up but is nice, too, when leaving your car in a parking lot with it locked.

Not everyone can tolerate sunscreen tho. I can't use American chemical sunscreen (I get nasty rashes) and physical sunscreen makes me itch. Now I use Japanese sunscreen (chemical, and sometimes chemical/physical) and I'm fine. But if I was limited to US sunscreen, I'd certainly been looking for coverups.

Great idea! The thing around the neck would bother me, too, though. I've not thought of doing that before, so have not looked carefully, but does it need to go that far up on your arm to protect from the sun?
I've always done more driving than riding. I have brown spots on my left arm and hand, but not on the right.

You know they sell sleeves with UV 50 protection, that also have a cool release component in them. They fit snug over your arms without any straps, etc. They are really comfortable to wear. You buy them online or from all of the hiking/biking/sports/camping stores. They come in different sizes and for men and women to fit your needs.

I was once driving through Arizona, right into the sun, wearing a very dark colored T-shirt. It felt like I was wearing a heating pad. I had a white towel in the car, so put that over the front of me. What a difference. I have also had to cover my jeans (with anything white) when the sun was beating down on my thighs.
A "sun sleeve" would make a lot of sense, but remember to put on light colored clothes, too.
