This is the one I made for my sister's grandson. The squares were cut at five inches and finished at 4 1/2 so the quilt is 46 x 39. Ethan loves his quilt and I am currently making one for his baby sister.

This is one I am making my 18 month old granddaughter for Christmas. The squares are finished at 4" and the sashing 3/4". I like the size it came out using 7 squares across and 8 down. I plan to use a fluffy batting to make it a play and nap quilt. She loves coming to our farm to see the "neighs" and "moos" so the backing fabric I found is perfect. Can't wait to get it finished and quilted.

My I Spy quilts tend to have squares of many different sizes. I patchwork them together with peices-parts to make the rows and it's a lot of fun!
The I Spy A Rainbow quilt was made with 6.5" squares in the 9Ps.

T-shirt cotton binding?? That's something I never would have thought of. I'm a little new so I've only domed basic (probobly too thin for a beginner) binding on potholders and quilt birth. I'm really scared if stretchy knits, but I know I saw a million adorable tee shirt prints in the baby section at the thrift store. How does it work? Is it harder than standard quilt fabric? Why did you choose it?

I can't figure out how to insert a photo, I can't find the "insert image " icon, probably staring me in the face!
But I've made a gazillion I Spy quilts, I use 6 inch blocks (cut size so finished block 5.5 inch) 6 across, 8 down, and a 4 inch wide white border with the words "I Spy a dog" etc using animal or objects actually in the quilt, I separate each "I Spy a cat" or whatever by 1.5 inches. I use the decorative letter stitches on my machine, not the embroidery unit.
I also use the rick rack stitch to separate each block so the blocks don't just run together.
Where is that "insert image" icon?

I have made several variations of I Spy quilts, but this one was both the hardest and my favorite. I gave it to a children's cancer ward and don't know the dimensions, sorry. The idea was that whatever is under the magnifier was also in the surrounding print. Harder than I expected to pull off.
