I have used those fake lights on miniature trees before. No, the ones I have don't light up, they're just decorative. Would be really cute if they did light though!

Judy, I hear your pain. I just spent waaaaay too much on material yesterday thanks to Craftybear's applique post. I'm so addicted to this Board. Love it!!!! And, love all the neat stuff people post and do. I feel like everyone on here are my NBF's.

Well now that I have 1 top (in green) finished; its time
to start on the steps I DESPISE the most sandwiching,
quilting and the worst part binding.

It took me longer to cut all the pieces than it did to sew
    all the blocks together.

Will post a pic when finished.

Well I FINALLY got one of them done (have 3 planned).
Machine started giving me problems when I got to the
last binding strip ended up taking machine down doing
a complete cleaning (again) and a lot of work on it to
finally get it to sew properly.

Other than adding the "decorations" which is hand work
and I am not a fan of doing that part.

    But here it is.

Oh so cute Louise! See that's why we would have been such good quilting buddies...I love fussy hand work!
