I love this pattern. I hope I can make it someday. Let us know if you decide to make it. It really is a beautiful quilt.

Several years ago John Flynn came out with the templates to make a DWR quilt. We did a class in our shop (now closed and retired) and had about 10 girls do it.It is time consuming but doable

Well the wedding ring part is smaller than the traditional wedding ring quilt. The pinwheels are very easy. But the wedding ring has many, many tiny little pieces that require PERFECT cutting and piecing. If you think you can do that than have at it and good luck! Of course, we will want to see pictures as you go. Good luck.

Granny, I'm sure we would all love to see a picture of that quilt. If you've been making quilts for 50 years, how many do you think you've made?

I would have someone who knows how to do that wedding ring work with me to be sure (or have them do that part) and then do the other!!!LOL...Actually, the wedding ring design is relegated to the middle, which is a wonderful idea and then the outside is easy for anyone! What great ideas people have to combine things. I am trying to think outside of the quilting box too! Amazing. There is always something new....go know!

I would love to show you a picture but I haven't figured out yet how to do it. I don't know a lot about how computers work and I also have a new digital camera that I don't know much about yet. I tried to download the disc that came with the camera but it didn't work for some reason. I'll have to get someone that knows more about them than I do to show me.
As far as the quilts go, I don't know how many I have made. I worked a public job for 30 years and raised 2 kids so I didn't quilt all that much. I have kept the kids in quilts to use and have a closet full. I have also given a couple to friends. If I can get the camera and computer to cooperate, I'll post a picture later.

3 or 4 wedding rings in a row also make a great tablerunner if you just want to try the pattern...I have made several for wedding gifts.

I have taken 2 double wedding ring classes one was the John Flynn method and one Cheryl Phillips and the Cheryl Phillips one is wonderful as it is quilt as you go can make any size and when you are done you are done no quilting or binding
the book is called "the Rings That Bind"
