I do this at the Lancaster quilt show. Since I live about 2-1/2 to 3 hours by car away it is the perfect little vacation for me. I take classes and stay for a few days and just enjoy being away.
So I know the feeling! I really hope you enjoy being immersed in sewing and crafting and getting away from the usual frustrations and responsibilities. Sounds wonderful so I'm sure you will. Tell us all about it when you get home again.

thank you all for the great well wishes. It has been a rough year but especially a rough 3 months. In just 3 weeks straight the only good thing during that time was that my DGS, twins decided to come 2 months early. they have done great from day one, no breathing problems, etc. We just found out today that they'll be home in the next day or two. We are all so excited. They are what has kept me going after having surgery, part of it not healing, hot water heater blowing up and flooding my house. I've had air handlers in my house for the past 3 weeks getting the moisture out, then I had to spend tons of extra money getting the heater installed due to my soon to be ex's crappy work the last time. Now its done right. That's why I decided that I just need the whole retreat thing. Normally when I go to the quilt show or retreats I go home at night. I'm sure I will have a great time and enjoy all there is to learn. Thank you all.

Have a great time - sound like a lot of fun. Several years ago my friend Mary and I went to a mystery quiltaway at a place that was only 40 min. from home. But we had a ball, you get to meet people from all over. There are several ladies there from NJ and NY who apparently go to just about everyone of these mystery quiltaways. The 2 ladies that run it are great and the bed and breakfast we stayed at was very nice.

I just finished three retreats almost back to back the last two weeks. Going on another one in Nov for four days. I make most weekends mine, I'm selfish that way!

    You totally deserve this getaway!

I'm jealous I don't get to go. Do the happy dance all weekend long.
