    What color is your sashing? If you're using a fairly busy fabric, it might be easier to simply sew your sashing fabric all around each block, then sew the blocks together.

    I bought one of those seam ripper with a large handle last week. Works great as much as use one it needs to be a good one. Nice quilt my first quilt was that pattern without the sashing using the purples. I really like it.
