    We've all done that. The last time I (smart!) Put everything down before I made a mistake even tho I was so close to being done! But yeah - usually too many stupid mistakes to realize I'm tired and should stop now.

    I like this idea it is one that I never thought about yet a simple solution for pieces that are odd sizes like the pieces that I was cutting, and for someone like me that can no longer process numbers well.

    Been there,done that. I have put tape on my cutting line, than cut from the wrong side of the ruler with the extra 1/2 inch. My fix was to put a thin line of tape on the extra 1/2 inch side, now I know not to cut from that side.
