With my problem quilt (1/2" measurement wrong in pattern) I am just adding sashing strips horizontally. The seams don't match up, oddly enough by about 1/2", and I think this is the best way to make it less noticeable. This is a screaming color quilt which is going to the Linus Project, so I don't feel guilty about it! Besides, I used fat quarters and don't have enough left to rebuild the squares. It's got spaceships and aliens and stars, rockets, moons, in orange, green, black, blue, yellow, and every other color (it seems). Some child will love it, with all its flaws!

To add to that, read thru all the directions not just glance. I saw 4 x 8 and cut. After cutting all the rectangles,
I went back to see the next step only to discover the 2nd line had 1/2. The block was supposed to be cut 4 x 8 1/2!

I have done this more times that I like to admit. I usually leads to some words I can't put on here. Then hopefully I can make a design change or I have enough fabric for a redo. I have also been known to recut it wrong a second time. I am also trying to be on the don't buy any fabric moratorium.
