I have the opportunity to purchase a Husqvarna viking quilter - Iwith frame etc.
I have quilted on my home machine, never on a frame, price seems very good... just a beginner, wondering if anyone has any comments on this.

    Thanks in advance

I had a Mega Quilter on a HQ table top frame. It was a great starter set up. I was lucky to get to get a larger machine and frame so I sold it. I think if you get it at a good price you won't be sorry.

I have a Mega Quilter and I just got a frame for it Saturday. I have done one lap quilt on it and I love it. I just wish there was a larger quilting area, I get from 4 to 6 in. depending on where I am on the quilt. I did all my FMQing on this machine before getting the frame also. It is a good machine, never had any problems with it, have never had to touch the tension, it just sews away.

We have the Pfaff version (Grandquilter 1200) and we love it. We have quilted a BUNCH of quilts on it. We had some issues at start-up, but now that I know how to set up and what to watch, the most serious problem I have is not watching the bobbin close enough and running out of bobbin thread in the middle of a row. Let us know what you decide.
