I am sorry I saw this so late. I am thinking of you as you create her quilt. God bless you!

Pictures to come. The first quilt is put together but needs ironing.

Yesterday, I counted. We needed 84 squares to make the 2 quilts. I have exactly 84 and only one needed to be squared up. You all have outdone yourselves and I thank you. I expected to need to make a few myself. I also expected to need to trim some and add a bit to others. I even considered framing fabric. Butyou all came through. You have made my job so much easier.

I'll post a picture as soon as I get the boarder on it. One person sent in squares that were fabric with stars on it. It worked out perfectly for cornerstones. This fell together too easily.

Judy: Your square arrived today so I will use it as part of the backing. I'm probably going to get a few more so they will be corners for the backing. If I get more than 8, I'll figure out a way to add them in. Aaron and Adrian will love these quilts. They are so beautiful.

I may actually get them finished before the backing fabrics come. Ha, ha...you couldn't have made this easier on me if you had tried.

Thank you to those who contributed to the backing fabric. You easily paid for half. Thanks so much.

Is there someone out there who would like to make 2 labels for these quilts? My machine doesn't do embroidery and I don't have time to do it by hand. Let me know. Otherwise I'll use my best writing and get it done.

Here is the first of the Cathy Smith memory quilts.

If you sent the heart made with stars & angels fabric and meant it for a different quilt, pm me. I wasn't sure where it went because it fit two memory quilts I'm making.

Be honest. What do you think? Is this okay or should I take them apart and put borders around the blocks? I am planning to add a border around the quilt to finish it. Speak now or I'm going to start on Aaron's quilt. It will be the same, only with the other half of the blocks I received.

You quilters did an awesome job. I only needed to adjust 2 blocks in the whole pile. The rest were exactly 8.5" square. Wow!
