Men who quilt
#162
My dad was as straight as they come. When he retired, he took up quilting and made about 50+ quilts before he passed, 30 years later!!!! All the grandkids have a quilt made by him, and a few nieces and nephews have weddings quilts from him.

You may be too young to remember that Rosie Guere (that may be spelled wrong) used to do needle point and a number of men on the Board are quilters. I think it is a great idea. My DH helps me all the time with color and cutting.

Everyone has been so helpful. I hope that all of your responces will do the trick. I decided that not only will I give him hard copies of your responces but print out the pictures of the quilts you guys have posted. This is going to br my Valentine gift to him. Since he spends nearly 24/7 a home he needs something to keep him busy and if he likes it he will have to get out some to get fabric cause my stash will only go so far. Hopefully he will contact some of you. THANKS

Tell your DH not to ever be intimidated by anyone about becoming a quilter. I too am a male quilter and I love to make things with my hands including wood working. It is a way to relax and unwind for me and I wouldn't give it up for any negative comments from any person ever.
