I have been 'threatening' to make one of those with the 300+ ties I have saved for years! Beautiful, and thanks for the inspiration. :)

So Pretty!! I've been wanting to make one for years. I've told all the men at work that I wanted their old ties ... no response ... then I told their wives and now I have several!! You've given me the inspiration to get started!! Thanks!! And Great Job!!

Have questions regarding making a tie - Will such a quilt be able to be washed as some of the ties can't? What do you think?

There's a book called Daddy's Ties by Shirly Botsford. It has this and other interesting patterns for ties. I plan (one of my many plans) to make small dresden quilt blocks from my deseased father's ties) frame it, and give one to each of my siblings. I really have to get started on it, this was a good reminder.
