...I hope. My problem is I joined two quilt groups that have free tables. You see it, You like it. You take it and I did. Charms, jellies, yardage. Yep, grabbed lots.
What do I have? I have no idea.
So I've spent 4 hours finding yardage, sorting by color, and putting it on the shelves. Of course had to take off what was on those shelves and pile in on the table.
Took a break to send DH to get cookies. Diet starts again tomorrow. I need reward today.

When I go back in there, I will attack the comic board fabric and organize by color.and then decided what to do with the charms and odd cuts. Probably take 4 cookies and 4 hours to finish.

Tomorrow attack the sewing room.It's out of control,too but ...
I knew I had no business bringing home fabric but I didn't think I had THIS much. At least now it will be so much easier to shop my stash for the next project, the next SEVERAL projects. However, when I went to the quilt group yesterday, I did NOT bring home any fabric. DId fondle lots but left it there,

PS if DH doesn't bring GOOD cookies, he's going back to Wat-mart!

I have been sewing from my stash while in Covid and was sure grateful I had it. The only fabric I bought this year is a meter of Nature’s Calling by Northcott which is tiny toilet paper rolls. Keep and organize what you want and start a box to go back on the free table for the rejects.😂

My guild has a free table and with the members cleaning and organizing in covid, the table is always full. I come home with probably more then I take. I will keep it for awhile and if really no use like I thought it would then I'll put it back on the free table.

Started filling a bag for next month's guild meeting. One group meets every Thursday so we'll see how ;much I can give them.
DH bought OK cookies so have the sugar rush to keep me going....lol

I've been very grateful for my sort of HUGE stash this last year. Between the quilt shop being closed and our business being so slow that I don't have money to spend on fabric, this would have been a tough year. As it was, I just did a lot of scrappy and I love scrappy so it's worked well.

This month's guild meeting we will be having a Free Market. We can bring anything we wish to give a way that is in good shape. It can be other items besides sewing and quilting related items.

There are 2 rules: If you plan to take items home, you must donate items. At the end of the meeting, you must take home your donated items if no one wanted them. I have a box started with quilting books, fabric, and sewing notions so far. It will be interesting to see what others will be giving a way that is not sewing related.

I know. I spent 8 days tearing apart my sewing room in January. It was a bear but so worth it !

Taking the day off from organizing. Need to start a quilt and tote for new GGD. Still an infant-3 mo old- but afraid if I don't start this now it may be a wedding gift...lol

There was a touching moment a couple of years ago in the local modern quilt guild when a young woman stood up and thanked everyone for their donations to the freebie table as without those she could not afford to quilt, fabric and tools costing what they do now.

For those of us with large stashes, inherited stashes, and disposable income....is there some way to direct extra resources to the younger, less advantaged quilters?
