Peace and joy, where in Upstate NY? You mentioned the Mennonites, are you near Little Falls?

I would love to come but since I already do 2 quilt retreats each year and also have 2 family reunions in the summer of '09 and the kids home from school for the summer, it just would not work for me to come...HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

About two hours west, in the Finger Lakes. Much of the area has been farmed for generations by families who are finding it more and more difficult to make a go of it. In the last 20 years or so, many Mennonites have moved to the area, buying up farms as they have gone to auction. We now have several Mennonite churches and schools in the area, as well as stores.

The first deadline is getting close. Is this still in the works?

Gosh darnit... June? I'm looking at a potential Star Trek shoot around that time. Schedule hasn't been released yet, but by the looks of it from previous shoots, the two would conflict.

I'll be looking forward to pictures of the event, though! :) Lots and lots of pictures!

It looks as though I am going to have to decline from this retreat. It seems we were discussing our trip for next year, and we both really want to go to Europe. We are seriously talking about France, and of course Paris. This could be a real trip of a lifetime. We are also looking to go to Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Seems I won't be attending any retreats for a while. I am so sorry. It would have been fun, but I can't pass up an opportunity to see France.

I will think of you all while you are enjoying your retreat. One of these days I will go on a retreat. But for now I need to start brushing up on my French...

    :(

How lovely is that you going to France though. But I can understand your disappointment, it would be lovely to meet everyone on the board.

You are not far away from Spain you know.........

Judy, my husband won't be attending the retreat after all. Hopefully, I still will.
