The "messed up" quilt back issue was resolved with a search through the same person's box. I found a pink dragon fly print that the colors matched nearly perfectly. I think it came out very well. It is big almost 60 x 84. Nice for a twin or full. Also a pic of the front.

This is a great quilt! Your persistence really paid off. Someone will be so happy to have this.

    Hooray! Perfect fabric insertion.

And no one but you (and us... but we aren't telling) will ever know. So nice when the outcome comes out so well.

Thank you--I read your suggestions and had a light bulb moment. I was actual;y shocked that the pinks matched. Thank you so much for the suggestions. --Now to tackle this huge lot of large print Halloween fabric. I have to get my thinking cap on for that pile.

What a great solution (and discovery in the fabric stash)! This is one of the things I love about quilting and have most appreciated in some of the threads I've been seeing here (thinking especially of the Fabric Moratorium group - having to work only from stash adds so many challenges). Sometimes a solution that pushes your creativity and problem-solving skills to the limit is the most rewarding. I honestly think I like it better with the dragonflies than I would have if all of the fabrics had matched perfectly as originally intended. :-)
