    Well if she covers the table with plastic if someone just happens to tip over a glass of red wine wellll....it will run off into her lap, into the carpet and make a nice stain.

    I entered a quilt in the local fair one time - and the only comment the judge made was that she found one unclipped thread. I was a new quilter and devastated. I never entered another show. Looking back, I realize how much she discouraged me when she was the one that should have been ashamed! I am older and more experienced now and wish I could tell her to go to ...............

    Wow, that is so so funny. I think I would have informed her that they make washing machines for that cause. I agree that the plastic covering would be very tacky. I am a firm believer in using what I make. If I want to make something for looks only, then it becomes a wall hanging. If you are not going to use it what's the point in making it???

    love that story. When I give my projects away I always by note or verbly tell them I expect you will use this and not save. I make my things to be used an enjoyed.

    Never heard of covering up a table cover??? but what do I know. All I do know is please use what I make for you - if need be I will always make you another.
