Metallic fabric question

I have been using RK fabric with gold metallic but I make quilts for charity so no idea how it will wear. Anything that is washed in hot water often will fade. Just be sure to tell the customer to take special care of this quilt such as washing in cold water and using a detergent made specially for the washing of quilts.
