    I knew I would get advice from the experts!! Thanks so much. I think my problem is that the tension is too tight.

    I also sent an email to the manufacturer with my question but I think that you ladies covred absolutely everything.

    Check out the Superior thread website. Dr. Bob gives the scoop on using metallic thread. It could be your thread or your tension.

    I have never had a problem with Superior metallic thread. Turn down tension, use a topstitch or metallic needle (they exactly the same).
