Hello all: BFF and I are taking a little road trip this weekend. We will be leaving from Kalamazoo on Sunday noon, and traveling northward with no particular itinerary. We will stop in Ludington/ Scottville for Sunday supper with a friend, and continue north before staying the night. Monday night will be at a cottage near White Cloud. We enjoy fabric shops, needle craft shops (knitters), resale shops, antique shops, and good food. Need suggestions for destinations, especially those that are open on Monday (some shops close Mondays to make up for the weekend). Not going as far as Traverse City I don't think. Rather spend time shopping than driving! :P Thanks! Penny

My sisters go on what they call a "bend of the thumb" shop hop every spring so I know that there are shops there but I don't know what they're called or exactly where they are. When I'm taking a trip I just google "Fabric stores in or around the ________ area."

According to my Quilters’ Travel Companion
Big Rapids Dream’N Stitches
Custer Pig Patch Farm Quilts
Cadillac Julie Ann’s Quilting & More
Bear Lake Three Sisters Fabric
A couple in Traverse City and some along I-75. Not sure of my northern Michigan geography, so don’t know where White Cloud is.
I'm near Kalamazoo myself!
