Ruth and Minda likes the blue print.........THANKS!.... Well, I'll bet somebody sometime had pj's or boxer shorts from this fabric. My cousin got this from a garment factory and gave my aunt a huge box of scraps. I inherited it and washed several loads of the scraps.........many shades of blues and a couple stacks of sage green and a lot of white. The white is a crisp fabric which I suspect is polyester/cotton blend. I don't use much blue except navy and royal blues. So the navy I already had and the print scraps went well together.

on the go, loved your block and i know sharon will treasure it.
the fab is fab. in the old days a lot of quilts were made with "shirting" and some was aquired just like yours was. what a great way to make a "green" project.
p.s. your workmanship is very good. don't ever be reluctant to show your work. no quilt police here

I FINALLY got these done! Sorry it took for what seemed like forever! The girls picked the fabric, the solid blue and white is from Jasmine's Halloween costume, the drk blue check w/o lady bugs is from Alicia's, the tiny blue floral and the check with lady bugs my mother donated. The girls had fun doing the thumbprint people in the center squares! Thanks Wendy for the wonderful idea!! Sorry about the quality of the pics, my cam has issues lately!

It says forever in our hearts, John and Lisa 2008

Wow! All the blocks are so pretty. Thank you for sharing.

Has anyone heard how things are going with MimiSharon and her husband. I was going to check the Main board or ??? to see if I had missed updates.

    OnTheGo:
Nothing wrong with your block! I seen NOTHING wrong with it. Only God is perfect so the rest of us "Pros" as you called us have some room for error and we all make them....regularily!

Thanks for sharing your lovely block. I, too, like the print fabric.

What is this 'amateur work"? I see a beautiful block that is well made! :) If we are 'Pro's', then you need to take your rightful place with us. :) :)

    Love the block. :)
