    Sanding can be done with a brown paper bag, like a grocery bag. Also, a towel does good for sanding both will give a smooth finish.

    in my experience it takes at least overnight to dry completely and I would wait a few days, at least, before sanding.

    I painted the Mod Podge onto the fabric not the plate. Kind of like doing paper mache.

    I just used mine for Thanksgiving. My fabric background is dark green and I don't see any lines on it. I think I used a bristle brush when I made mine (it's been a few years). I don't think that really matters though. I also know that I sanded my to make it smoother. That might help. I love mine. It has fall leaves on it and is very pretty. Good Luck!!!

    I don't really know about the brush marks, but if you add just alittle water to the glue, it will dry faster and not streak. When I used to do it, I actually kept a paintbrush on hand it a glass of water, and used it to take out brush marks or globs...
