did anyone ever do this where you glue fabric onto clear plates. I tried one today and was dissapointed with the results. I used black printed fabric and yiu can see the brush marks and it looks clowdy. Any tips?

Did it dry all the way? It will look cloudy while it's wet but once it's dry and cured, it should be clear. Brush marks are a little tougher. I use a foam brush but it still leaves some brush marks. I don't know that it's possible to get it perfectly smooth.

Do you mean Mod Podg. I thought you could sand it between coats. Use a very fine sandpaper (I think!).

I have several that I have received as gifts. They are beautiful when done. You may just need to wait a bit.

I did it this afternoon so it should be dry. I did one in a light fabric and its much better looking. I did use a foam brush.

size 0 0 steelwool instead of sandpaper makes it as smooth as glass.

According to the video I watched, you put the modpodge on, and really smooth out the fabric. You don't want to see much of the modpodge when you turn the plate over. If you see it, smooth the fabric out some more.
At this stage, only use as much as you need to saturate, but not leave excess showing on the plate.
If you get too much, lift the fabric up, wipe off the excess, and smooth it out again.
You will add more onto the back of the fabric in step two :D:D:D
