So, as it's become very recognizable thru Moda's effort, I'd be very careful how you use it....not for monetary award in a show, not for a class unless the pattern purchase is required, not for making a quilt to sell, etc.
Obviously it's meant for you to make one for your own use, though.

I was lucky enough to get to quilt two quilts for this project and yes they made the 100 needed for flag day. They are in the process of finishing the other quilts at this time. There are eighteen stars in each block and yes they got well over 15000 stars. I am sure you can read about it on Moda's site.
